Thanks for the input guys.  There are a few v's running down the length, and off the side on one limb.  What kind of wood would you suggest to back it with?  I've got a hickory board, but it's sawn in a similar fashion.  I figured that as long as the side grain was fairly uniform I'd be alright?  I actually stretched the rawhide last time and it pulled a couple of inches in when it dried, but could have been because it was a super thin kid's bow.  I hate to scrap any wood, I'd just as soon make some shavings and see how things turn out.  I'm hoping for at least a 26-27" draw, but I'll settle for less if I can keep some draw weight.  Thanks for the input fellas, I really appreciate it.  Also, on a pyramid handle, do you make concave lines or straight fades; does it matter?  I was thinking that would make the thinnest part in the middle which would be bad news? }{  Like that, or _/.  Thanks again for your time.
