Yeah, I've heard of people doing that also fencepost. They say you can just drop them in water and they will rehydrate? I dunno, never tried it before.

i cant believe i never bothered to learn this particular skill. i have no clue what grows around me that i can eat. looked up some stuff that should grow here localy, heading out with my huntin partner this after noon (when it cools down to where the skeeters quit spontaniously combusting in mid air) to see what we can find.

great stuff. been super busy so havent posted in a while. . im still eating everything in my path though. went to our csa farm to pick our strawberries and snap peas and spent more time gathering goosefoot and chickweed.  when the coffee has kicked in and im not running out the door i'll try to remember what ive eaten lately. right now is milkweed,flower buds and the younger leaves at the top of the plant.
