Bhutanese bow, 194fps!
« on: November 09, 2010, 05:01:03 pm »
Someone I know has brought back a Bhutanse bow, via the archery event in Korea I think.

Initial testing shows an average arrow speed of 186fps, a top speed of 194fps. ~The bow is the typical two bits of bamboo bound together at the handle, Bow draw weight at the draw length being used is estimated at 50-55lbs. Arrows used appear to be failry standard field arrows. If I can get permission and actually ge thold of some pics I'll post them.

Though this may be of interest.

Del speaks for me on this issue.
Guns have triggers. Bicycles have wheels. Trees and bows have wooden limbs.
