**Coon Furs**
« on: October 27, 2010, 09:42:20 am »
I don't have any right now, but I will coon fur real soon.  I coon hunt and should have plenty of fur by December up through late January.  Was wondering if there was any interest in coon fur.  As poor as fur prices are, I'd just as soon trade it for something of use rather than let the fur buyer stick it to me.  If you're interested, let me know.  We kill plenty of coons a year and usually some pretty decent pelts.  Thanks

I'm interested in a couple.  I've been wanting to make my boy and me coon hats  ;D  Curious if anyone has ever used coons instead of squirrels to make strings.....

Do you want them as is, or fleshed out and tanned?  I've fleshed them out, but never tanned one before.

As is- I can tan them if I want, but want them as rawhide.

I can definitely do that.  It'll be after Nov 8th.  That's when coon season comes in around here.
