Tri-lam Girlie bow...now w/full draw!
« on: September 18, 2010, 03:55:02 pm »
Neighbour Buggi and I recently made this bow for his wife Eva, a tri-lam hickory, hard maple and ipè with a Pink Ivory riser, overlays and underlays. The bow is 35#@26" and I was really surprised how good it shoots. String is 12 strand Flemish FF with blue fox silencers.
Here are some pics, fulldraw soon to follow!
Thanks for looking.

...some more.

PS: The Pink Ivory looks rather red in the evening sun, but believe me: it's pink. :-)

Thanks for all the nice comments!

Yes that thing came out pretty, and if it had 60#@28" you wouldn't be ashamed to carry it around even with the pink on it! It sure shoots good, though the limbs are constructed of what I had and thought would work; that's why it's a flatbow.
I'll for sure make one similar with heavier dimensions some time soon...

@yeti: we are in the northern slopes of the Eifel, an hour south of Cologne. It's 5 hours to Nürnberg, IF (!!!) there is no traffic jam...

@elk: yes full draw will come soon!
