A few different critters
« on: September 06, 2010, 01:07:53 pm »
I haven't posted in a while but i've been busy. Here are a few that have been built in the past weeks. The finished bow is a BBI that is 55# at 28". The Ottawa is quartersawn white oak and pulls 42# at 28". The unfinished one is just off the tree pulling #50 at 26". I really liked building the Ottawa but I spent a lot of time finish sanding. Iv'e got four more bows in the works. Trouble with making a lot of bows is I never shoot the same one very long.

I like the middle one best too, a nicely made bow, but the ottawa looks 'farout'
'expansion and compression'.. the secret of life is to balance these two opposing forces.......
