A new addict
« on: July 18, 2010, 07:27:04 pm »
I have a new kid on the block that is armed only with a compound. He's been shooting that little HHB I posted last month and wants to build his own. I found a piece of Osage that Pat Brennan left for anybody to take a couple or three years ago and laid him out a bow to start chopping on.

Josh got started on it today and is doing a Jam up job. He asked me if we can finish it pretty quick. I told him we sure could, but I'm only going to let him use hand tools. ;D ;) Then I'm going to give him the tools when he is finished. Here is this afternoons work in 95+ heat, he is determined. ;D

That is great. I love to see young people addicted to this rather than other things.  good on you Eddie.

I remember that stave. Glad to see it put to good use and another addition to the ranks.  8)

I thought you would recognize it, Pat. It was longer and had a big hole in the top. I'm gonna keep posting pictures of Josh and this bow till we have a finished product, whatever it takes. :)

That's what I like to see!  Maybe that's at least one young man that won't get "lost" in mischief.

This boy is a good one. He wants to learn and has asked me to show him how to make arrows and everything he needs. He now knows , when he see's my truck at home he has access to my shop. Shannon, he's at that "age", hope I can head it off.
