How to tell if TB is old?

I can't find it but somewhere I read how to tell if Titebond is too old.  Something about smacking it between your fiingers.  I need to back a bow with rawhide.  I am thinkin its over a year old.

I use it till it's gone...never had a problem with it getting too Old...not like Urac or others like it....I would not be afraid to use it as long as it was still sticky and fluid...JMO

If it won't flow when squeezed, I'd say its "old"...

Well, I used it.  Rawhided a bow.  Seemed sticky enough.  Time will tell.  Looking back, I should have went and bought a new bottle.  Espeically if it doesn't work out.

What does the term shelf life mean in regard to Titebond Wood Glues?

Instead, we view the stated shelf life of most of our glues merely as a guideline to avoid potential aging concerns. In reality, as long as products like Titebond Original, Titebond II and Titebond III remain fluid, without drastic change in appearance, they will continue to perform as intended.

Thanks guys.  I had it wrong.  It was Dean T's article and he said you could tell if hide glue goes bad by smacking it between your fingers.  Great info.
