pretty points
« on: June 06, 2010, 12:44:38 pm »
I'm not known for making "artsy fartsy" points.  In fact, most of my points are made of drap colored stone that's kinda ugly and sharp....perfect for hunting.  But I'm doing a big outdoor show this July and since most customers probably would like some color I decided to break into my stash of pretty stone and make some points out of some colorful material.  I'm hoping the color will catch people's attention and make them want to buy them.  Anyway, thought I'd share them with everyone here.  Made out of various materials: Mook Jasper, man made glass, picture jasper among others.  Enjoy.

Sweet, Billy. People can say what they want but glass makes some pretty little hunting points.

Bowmakers are a little bent, but knappers are just plain flaky.

NICE!!!
Time, dedication, cuts, tons of broken rock, a wife, and perhaps a few girlfriends are some of what it takes in becoming a skilled flint knapper!!!
