OK the first thing you do is get a shuttle or a needle. this is a lot different than a normal needle. you can buy one but i wanted to make mine so here is how i made mine
first you cut out the size and shape or your needle. the size is about 7 in long 1/8 in thick and about 3/4 in wide

then you cut a notch in the back to hold the string in. leave tab thin. the depth of the notch is determined by the size of string you will use.

then you drill 3 holes in a triangle pattern to make the top of the needle. try no to get it to thin or it will break. if you get it to thick just trim a little off

then you cut lines to the holes and make it have a opening to make room for the string. again the depth and width of the hole is based on how thick the string is

here are two that i have made the one on the left is the one i am going to use and the one on the left is the one that i just made

this next part is to make the ring for the horn. i use 1/16 in welding rod. and i soder it in place. you can use a key ring but i find that it snags up to much on the gap. so if you do go that route soder it shut and file it smooth. make sure there are no burs otherwise you will cut your string up

after you get your first row on and start your second you need to tie a widiner. this alows the net to opin in a tolat circle rather than make a fish net that you use to land fish.
you start a normal mesh then after you finish the knot you then do the proces agian to make it. this is the hardest part because the holes are a half a mesh wide. when you finish a full mesh
it is much easier. altho the widiners are still hard. the pattern for the widiners is. i don't know if this is right way to tie it but it works
1st row 0
2nd row every 1
3rd row every other 1
4th row every third
5th row every fourth
here is the site were it showed me about widiners
