finally finished a set of arrows
« on: April 26, 2010, 12:20:25 am »
just thought i'd share some pics of a set of arrows i just finished. i've been putting off fletching these for about 2 months so i pulled my finger out and spent 5 hours yesterday putting feathers on them. another 2 hrs this morning finishing them with melted bees wax. don't ask me how many hours total it has taken me from go to woe. i don't want to know.

just looking forward to the fruits of thy labour now.

the white point in the middle i made myself. it will be a special moment when it does it's job!
the 2 points at the bottom i'm saving for a scrub bull.

the point at the bottom left is a water buffalo testing survivor. i just had to reknapp the tip. the remaining points were given to me by bill skinner.
thanks very much guys!

Cool, and very nice! 8)  I hope you get your wish with your home made point.  8)
And as for the Buff point, was that tested on a live, or dead one? :o  If it were a live one, I would have to be in a big ol gum tree, before I would try that, or in a land rover, with the engine running, and pointed in the opposite direction! ;D

Like all of the points. They look killer ( pardon the pun).
And I agree, If that water buff was alive, I hope you had some great cast, a long distance, and a tree stand.  Those buffs are some of the meanest critters on this planet.
That jagged edge on that black point made me drool. And I'm allowed. I have ruined more rock than I care to remember.

GOOD JOB!!!

the testing was done on a dead cow buffalo. the results are in my 'water buff with selfbow and stone points' thread in the hunting forum. the thread is currently on page 3of the forum. the results are on page 6 of the thread.
