im so cheap,or so i have been told,that i dont like wasting my material.
this is partly why i liked slabbed material,less waste
although i do really like working with spalls.
well i like to warm my knapping muscles up wheni start a session
so i usually grab a piece of whatever jsut to beat on and make some flakes untill i get my groove
well i week or two back when i got box of mixed material from jesse i found a spall in there that was mostly all cortex
so grabbed that to use as my warm up,i snapped it in half (on purpose) and went to town on one half
i was really surprised at how ell it turned out considering it was more cortex than rock
it actually knapped quite well too,and took a decent edge
