Tiller check please
« on: February 20, 2010, 04:55:34 pm »
I need a second opinion please. The bow is pulling 48 pounds at 22 inches and I'm shooting for 50 pounds at 27 inches. Bow length is 66 inches, bamboo backed hickory.
Thanks,
Eric

loose the long string and brace it. looks good but you'll know more with the short string

I agree with Jamie. Time for a low brace, about 4". That will give you a truer look at the bend. Take it easy bracing the bow as not to over strain either limb.
On the long string it looks pretty good but maybe bending more near the fades.

Thanks for the input. I'm putting the short string on now.

Pat, just to make sure, do you mean to say right now it's bending more near the fades, or do you mean to say it should bend more near the fades??
