Friends bow at full brace and ready to tiller out. Then a peaceful evening with my girls, Sally is giving Sister a clean up before they settle down for the evening, you would think she was a Mother Cat.
Hope yall had a good one also, it was a much needed rest and relaxing weekend for us.

Looks like things are back to normal, Pappy. Glad to hear the Classic was such a success. Looking forward to next year.

You are to good to us Pat.
Headed to the cabin this morning for a few days, this is the last weekend for turkey so I may give it one last try in the morning, only been once this year,
also a club meeting and club shoot Saturday morning then finish clean up and get all the targets put away. Should be fun now that most are rested up we can enjoy some fun and start a plan for the next big one in July. I also have a bow in the works and ready to finish tillering , the weather has been prefect for brain tanning so I have a hide in soak and ready to pre smoke, then soak a few more time and stretch till dry, that should be easier with the sun/light wind and low humidity we are having , busy weekend.
Hope yall have a good one also. Life is Good.

What a great weekend, the weather was beautiful and had lots of friends down still cleaning and putting stuff away but also some time for projects. It turned into a hide tanning weekend for me, I said i was done but this passed week was the best week we have had for that in a long time so I took advantage of it, got 2 finished and 1 ready to finish stretching and smoke, Jesse also got 1 large one finished. We had a good meeting and got all the targets down and put away after several that didn't get to shoot at the Classic shot a round. 1 fairly small hide compared to what I have been doing to start off the weekend, really a pleasure doing a smaller one for a change.
Big A was there working on a couple of Osage bows.

Got my lady friends bow ready for some tweaking to line everything up. 2 hides for me finished by Saturday morning, man they dry quick in the weather we were having.

Jesse hard at it, going over the hide one last time after the third braining and then for pre smoke, we always pre smoke after the third ringing and then 3 more braining and then stretch until dry and smoke again, seems to help.

Got my bow off the form and it is right down the middle. The weather was so nice I decided to do one more hide, now only got 9 to go.
Also had some pine pitch that needed cooking and cleaning so decided to do that in between hide work. I like to keep busy and moving.

Last hide in a new batch of brains. Jesse went crystal mining and needed to cook and clean them up, so some kind of acid bath done the trick.

They turned out nice. Moose antler gifted to me by Greg S at the Classic, done a little cleaning it up and Jesse talked me out of one of the points for his napping, it had already been cut on so I was OK with that.
Last ringing on my third hide. It is in the fridge in a bag , hope to get to it tomorrow.
