I had planned to be in my car right now, driving toward Tennessee.  I am trying to not feel too bummed out about it.  Guess I'll get back to grading papers. . .

Yep would have loved to meet you Jeff. Had a good weekend in spite of this junk happening. Had a few show up for shop work and some shooting. Got my 2 bows all shot in and ready to put the final finish on them, also got 18 arrows tuned for each. I plan on taking these 2 bows to CO. this fall if they let us in, :-\  if not they will be white tail bows for Tennessee. Here are a few pictures of the fun. Cut some popular saplings for arrow material, not sure how they will spline out but if they do well I have lots of them growing on my place.Also the inner bark make great cordage, I made up some and it is very strong, plan on making some more. Bill showed up for some bow work. :)

My 2 bows ready, named them after some beautiful lakes we hunted around while in CO. a couple years ago. :) Sorry for the picture of the 2nd bow, it is Twin Lakes 53@26. ;)

Had a bunch of arrows to tune, got them all shooting like darts and should be ready for the hunt. Bow rack looks a little slim for the Classic weekend. ??? :) :) Shawn showed up and we finished up the glue up we were doing for Joe a good friend of mine. It turned out way better then either of thought it would and Joe was very pleased. :)

Bill re working the wood pile, getting ready to add more wood. Shawn and Mark3 working on Marks new bow, it is turning out nice. :) Joe brought me a nice box of antlers to use on my projects.

We have a beautiful practice range set up, 4 elk/2 lions/mule deer and lots of other cool critters. 27 Targets in all and 4 balls hanging and 1 long distance shot at about 150 yards. Lots of fun for sure. :)

Shawn got the award for the long shot, very good shot with a self bow. The I made something from the skull of one of the deer heads Joe gave me, I make a lot of these , they make great conversation pieces and are just cool. Hung some more horns around, can't have to many of them. :)

Jesse showed up with his son and new girl friend, he is trying to teach her to nap. My girls just hunting for something to chew on, they should find it there. :)

Then when everyone was gone I went back to tuning arrows, nice and peaceful. Miss yall and all that comes with doing the Classic, but good Lord willing we will do it bigger and better next year. Hope yall had a good one also. O by the way at about 4:30 this evening we had a big closing ceremony storm, just wouldn't have been right with no rain or storm for the Classic weekend.  ;) :) Life is Good. :)
