After processing Shawn's deer we decided to render the fat, she was one fat corn feed doe. Came out very good and the cracklings tasted very good also, surprised me how good they were. We got about 40 lbs of grind burger and back straps and inner loins. Nice deer for Tennessee. :)

 Shawn doing some tip work on his new Osage bow. After seen Case's project I decided to make me one out of the same wood, splatted White Oak with a few worm holes. I also made another wood mallet for my wood carving, ERC , wrapped in leather, make a nice lite mallet and pretty to boot. :)

Case done a little squirrel hunting and of course Sister couldn't resist the head and tail. :) My spoons for the week + Miss Joanie's 2. ;) :) Grant showed up with a very nice Christmas gift for me. I know I can use that.  ;)Thanks Grant it will get lots of use around there. Hope yall all have a good one also. Merry Christmas Pappy. Things happen for a reason. Not coming to Twin Oaks was in the plan. My Mom had a small stroke and we have been at the hospital dealing with it.  Keep us in your prayers and have a Merry Christmas.

Had a great time this passed week at the cabin with my buddies.No deer killed but did have some encounters just no shots. Davy's shoulder was hurt so he didn't hunt, I stayed at the cabin and shop with him all week while Chuck and Gary hunted. Davy working on walking stick and bow and me on spoons and such. ;) We ate like kings [Missed you Glenn but we got by on food ]  ;) :)and spent many fine nights by the fire. Here are a few pictures of the fun. Seems looking through the pictures I didn't get a picture of Chuck ???  [Hole in the bow chuck] He stayed in the woods and hunted hard. :) My girls just waiting for our friends. When they got there Davy had a gift for me from BrianS , it was beautiful Brian and thank you very much, loved the letter also. :)

Gary got into the bow work also. My spoon ready to sand and seal. I decided I needed another small bopper so I got a piece of walnut from the fire pile and made one. :) Waste not want not. ;)
