Case brought me some horns off a small buck his girl friend killed, always fine a use for such supplies. Sally just resting by the fire, it was wet and windy day. Dan giving Case some pointers of using a wood lathe. ;) :)

Bill and Shawn are working on a stretching board we plan on using on a couple of mink hides I have in the freezer. Case's spoon and mallet ready for finish. ;)

Case gifted me the mallet, Nice fire Friday night and some home made brats,then Saturday morning we skinned the  2 mink, 1 had been shot with buck shot but I think it will turn out ok. :)

Will checking out my arrow build. Another nice fire Saturday night and 3 vices cleaned/repaired and ready for paint. Like knives a man can't have to many vices. ;) :) and another hammer that needs a handle. :)

I have been having trouble with my scissors cutting leather, mainly because folks keep cutting stuff like sand paper with them, so Miss Joanie gave me an early Christmas gift, a really nice pair of scissors and leather cutter, they work great and I plan on putting them away for leather and appropriate material only. ::) ::)  Hope y'all had a good one also. Life is Good.  ;)

Ya she was a happy camper Bob, They work great Brian. Finely no rain and cold with little wind NW, headed to the woods this morning to see if anything is moving, been slow the last week or so around here. Maybe today !!!

Ya Bob we did on the first one but was very careful not to on the 2ND. ;D  I guess it is all in the person doing the smelling, it wasn't a great smell but I have smelled worse things. ;) :) I am not sure if we hit it or the buck shot,either way it was kind of a mess in the back end. Wished it didn't have all the shot holes but don't think it will show from the fur side, It was a good one for me to practice on, never done a tube skin before so Shawn walked me through it. :) Woods were dead on deer yesterday morning, only seen 2 coyotes [ not in range]and bunches of squirrel , must be rutting time for them because they were everywhere chasing each other, ;) good morning all the same, I did find 3 new scraps just worked so I know they are still there, headed out again in a little while, 29 and wind out of the WNW at 8/10, prefect . ;)Then back to the house for Margaret Ann Wednesday so deer or not it will be a great day. :) :)

Headed to the cabin for the weekend, looks like rain again Saturday and maybe some white stuff, so plan on hunting this evening and maybe in the morning and then shop time !!!! Hope yall have a great one also.Life is Good. ;)
