living in town should not stop you from keeping bees. I once was in France in the heart of a city and the place I was visiting had five hives. He had built a little set of walls around them with privacy fence and no one knew they were there. The bees had to fly up and out and this got them over top of nearly everyone just like that.

What a good weekend, no bees yet but the bridge is done all but the pads to the steps, pictures in the morning , today a day to remember all that gave all for us in the states and others around this old world. Life is truly very good. Pappy

Happy Memorial Day, has been awhile. Thanks Pappy and Twin Oaks crew for a great shoot. Thanks for calling this morning Pappy, hope to see you soon. Heading out to my dad's grave sight to put a flag on it. He was in the army during WWII. Had a good weekend with family and friends and weather but today it's raining. Life is Good

We had a great weekend also. Rain Sunday and yesterday but still managed to have a good time. Had a good crew Friday evening to get stuff ready for the bridge and then a better crew Saturday and we got er done.  :)Here are some pictures of the fun. First had to repair my sprayer,almost nothing you can't do with bone. Also got my dog wood bow on the form.

Josiah showed up for a visit. Dan doing some arrow tuning for Will. Bill working on a new project,he is our newest member and I think will be a good one. Kevin shows up and the bridge work begins.  He keeps us all motivated and on task.

Cutting steps, working on rail mounts and getting set up at the bridge site. We also done some bush hogging and got or dove field disk and ready to sew in between bridge work. I don't Dove hunt but the guys wanted one so I said fine. Should be a nice one, sunflowers and Millet right above my pond.

Getting the steps and deck down and also pulling the support cables.  That part was a little Harry, Yipes, we broke on cable and had to reinforce it to pull again.

Done, clean up and some relaxing around the fire, the best part of the day. Theses boys don't stop till it is all cleaned and finished, got to love that.

Jeff working on his Gilly suite, he is in 5th group and got selected to sniper school, very cool knowledgeable guy, he was giving us some in site to what they have to go through. Very interesting stuff for sure. He is a new member this year also and a very hard worker. Also got my Dog wood on the tiller stick for it's first bending. Me and Sally checking out the new bridge Sunday morning. Looks great, all we need is the pads for the steps and plan on that in the next couple of weeks.

Got to almost brace on my Dog Wood but even though it is very well seasoned it still seemed a little damp, probably because it had been outside all weekend. So I decide to work on a project that Bro. Bear wanted me to do for him [an Osage take down] and give the dog wood time to dry out before moving on. It turned out to be quite the Challenge to chase a ring, I got one limb ready for the sleeve and will work on the other when I am in the mood again. It was Monday and had the place to myself, well all except Sally. Very peaceful day that I truly enjoyed. That's it for this week. Hope yall all had a good one. Life is Good.
