I'm planning on taking a 1/2 day of vacation and spreading some lime/fertilizer on my foodplot this afternoon. Early morning outing Saturday to put up a couple of stands before the 100+ temps arrive, but I plan to come over afterwards.

Pappy, I just have to ask. Where do you find all the wild game to cook up? Do you hunt it yourself?

Had a great weekend, little lonely Friday night, but I manged, had a great supper of deer steak and taters and a wild turkey strip, just to check it out for Sat.Got started on another bow for a friend in Mic.Thought I had a straight piece for a change but found out different.I think it will work out
but so far it has been a challenge to get to brace.Had a bunch over Sat.We worked on bows
skinned some snakes a friend that works for the county got cleaning the road side and done a little shooting.Had wild Tucky breast and of course taters for supper.Made some strings for the sister bow and put 3 coats of sealer on them .now they are ready for the woods. Now I need to get some stands up.Anthony and Doug showed up for a while Sat. it was good to see them but Greg ,ant seen guess he is still on a diet. ;D ;D Here ia some pictures of the bow to start with and supper.

The bows one limb also was way off the handle so it needed a little straightening and snakes before and after.

You know Pappy, you guys have got to learn to relax on the weekend.  8) You know, cook some great wild game food, skin some snakes, work on bows, make strings, practice for a while. You have got to get with the program.   :D  On a serious note I have about 20 acers here and I am going to do a mini Pappy weekend here and invite some of the guys over and see what happens. It is painfull  :'(  to see you guys having so much fun. Later.

Talk about the ultimate "Man Cave".  Not one single lawn mower, hedge trimmer or other instrument of oppression in sight.

So far, I haven't found any Osage or knappable rock over here.  Embrace the suck
