Great weekend, Pappy.  I like the antler can opener handle.   ;D  That knife looks like a proper mountain-lion-discourager.  Wood pile looks great too.  There's nothing like a full freezer and a huge wood pile.

Ahh, nothing like coffee and a Monday morning Pappy update.

BJ, you gotta get down there someday and see the place for yourself. Really brings this thread to "Life". Awesome place!

Damon I’m really hoping to this trip. I have a high school buddy that is in Clarksville. It’s been a while since I visited him. Could probably see them both in same visit.

BJ just let me know that he will be coming to see me tomorrow!  It will be awesome.  Maybe I can find a stave for him to make me a bow while he's here...he's builds bows way faster than I do.  :)

Was great meeting you Bob. I’ve been wanting to do this for a long time and I’m so glad it worked out. Thanks to both you and your wife for putting up with us. I would have loved to spend more time but we made pretty good use of the time we had. Couldn’t believe how fast it went.

Really enjoyed our visit and was great to get some shooting in too.

Thanks again. We decided to get off the road earlier today and get a little rest. Tomorrow should be a easy drive to Arvin’s

PS sorry for high jacking your thread Pappy but I figured I could keep you in the loop this way

Looking forward to seeing you BJ. had a great weekend, got a lot of stuff done around the cabin and also some shop work, good friends and good food always hard to beat. Got my knife all finished up except for sealing it all up, got 2 more hides scraped and off the rack 1 to go.  :)

My girls just hanging out.  :) The dinner bell I put up was top heavy and I was afraid it was going to over time pull the post side ways so I used some old fencing wire and deer leg bone to attach it to the pavilion. We got 4 loads of gravel hauled in and spread, a couple new lanes and under the new pavilion. Looks great and should help in case of a wet Classic  ??? :-\ :)

Got a bunch of feathers to split, I decided to use 2nds this time instead of primaries , I always use primaries and give the 2ns away, Guess you are never to old to learn something, I didn't know when you split the 2nds you get a left and a right wing in each feather, they aren't quite as tough and primaries but as good or better that the one you buy,I am sure most of you know this but it was a good lesson for me.  :) The weather was damp so trying to get my last hide dry enough to scrape with a big fan blowing on it, worked ok but not like the sun and a good breeze.  :)
