Tallahata Hillsborough
« on: February 01, 2010, 08:53:31 pm »
Did battle with some Tallahata from Jeffutley today. Didn't realize how spoiled I was on that nice TX stuff till tonight :-X. Thing started out about four times this size but I still have most of a box left - more to come and bigger hopefully :).

Yup we are ;D. Thanks fellers! I don't see why your so head up about gettin home to that tallhata Eddie, that TX stuff you just picked up is a lot easier to work ::). I found out what ya mean Shannon - that white stuff doesn't knap worth a cra&&^p :D.

That's a helluva nice looking Hilly, Paul. Here's the best Hilly I've made from that TQ so far, not as nice as yours, though.

I hope I did you guys good.  I did my best with my limited knowledge of putting together rock boxes.  The Post Office lady thought I was crazy mailing so much rock  ;D  Quite honestly, I'm about done playing with it.  My hands have 4 DEEP cuts in them and I'm not having much luck!  >:( Shannon told me he thought it was good to learn on because if you could get comfortable with this, you could knap any other rock....but I'm frustrated as ever!!!

I beg to differ Steve! Your like the quartzite King ;D. That's another dandy lookin point too. You done good on the box-o-rock Jeff, I might be lookin to trade for some more - maybe try to refine my technique ::). Got a box headed your way, It'll flake a lot better than this stuff.
