Rattlesnake, copperhead, and HRB pens
« on: January 11, 2010, 10:27:32 pm »
hey Mike this is yours just PM your address one more time sir, thanks for waiting. i didn't have a plan for when my lathe broke :-[
sawfiler your honduran rosewood burl is up next. thanks for waiting fellas. the new lathe is up and running. still a crap machine but now i can make $$ and buy a better one at least.
Rattlesnake (western diamondback??) skin handcasted and turned by myself in crystal clear polyester resin, on a chrome cigar kit.
so, lets do this gladiator style, thumbs up or thumbs down? I can always make a slimmer style if that would be prefered.

enjoy

wow thanks but thats really not necessary.yall are too nice for your own good!
besides unless the skins are either tanned, or dry and raw but thin and paper flexible, they probably won't work. :'(
i got some raw (dried) copperhead skins from sawfiler but those were very thin, which is i believe why they worked so well.(man you should see how those came out--stunning! thanks again sawfiler)

thanks though, and thank you for the nice comments :)

i haven't perfected the boomarang feature yet, its still in developement.
eventually i'll just make these so they fly through the air and come hurtling back to you when you lose it, but i'm still working on that ::)

Eddie this is your pen, shown next to Michaels. this illustrates the difference in size between a slimline and a cigar style pen.
copperhead skin from sawfiler, on a black enamel slimline
like it?

next to a couple blanks fresh out of the mold, before squaring and turning, these are for sierra style pens. thats a one piece pen, so this is enough for two
