Elk antler hafted knife
« on: January 09, 2010, 10:17:25 pm »
Received a beautiful elk horn hafted knife from Shannon today.  Was a very pleasant surprise and I am in awe of the perfect shape and knapping of the blade which was made from some Kentucky sonora flint.  I have not mastered posting pictures, so will ask someone to post it for me.  I know there are some very skilled knappers on this site and Shannon is one of them!  The sinew is from a Kentucky elk.  I hope to gut a big Yukon moose next fall with it.  Joe
