Finely more meat.
« on: November 16, 2009, 05:29:40 am »
It has been really, really slow hunting this year but the fellow made a bad mistake Sunday morning.
He came through right at daylight,6 yard shot and he only ran 30 yards.I seen him go down and
just set for another hour, pretty cool knowing there was no tracking to do.I was shooting a 53@26
Osage with 650 grain Hickory arrows with a 160 ace head.Took out the right lung and dead center ed the heart exited behind the left front leg.  :)

Pappy it's good to see some more deer off the hoof! I concur that it has been a slow year. Keep filling that freezer.

Thanks guys,ya Jimmy it has been as slow ,as far as seeing deer this year that I can remember.
The problem is I can't figure out why, rain a lot in the early season ,corn cut really late and acorns
everywhere,I guess they just don't need to move around much. I will just keep chipping along and maybe get the freezer full. :) Maybe it will pick up some by the time you get here.  :) :)
