Pheasant with bbi
« on: October 31, 2009, 03:45:37 pm »
Well deer hunting is off to a slow start. I had some close encounters and missed one at 35 yds. I hit my sleeve and shot low. I went out for pheasant today and was blessed with a clean kill at 15 yds. It didn't really even flinch. It will make a great meal for my wife and I if I can get another one.  These guys are a blast to hunt.  :)

Good shooting.

Thanks guys. I live out in the country and there seem to be a lot of them this year. I got a feeling the coyote population is gonna be doing just fine this winter.

Impressive.  Great shot Jesse.  I can just see you cooking it over a fire that you spun out with the handrill.   ;D

Pat this was on the ground. He was hiding in the brush and just his head was visible. I drew back on one flying at close range but just didn't let go for some reason ??? Next time :)

Great shot.  I tried several times hunting phesant with a bow, but no luck.  Where i live, there are not many phesant, so I was just lucky to see a bird.  The few I did see, I missed.
