1st Newnan

I got some coral from jcinpc a few years ago and hadn't done much with it. Here is the first Newnan I've ever attempted. It would work on the end of a stick. Since coral is from Florida, I tried a point type from Florida. It was knapped with copper and antler. It is also the first point I made since I had surgery that was not just a pressure flaked chip. It was supposed to be a longer and wider point than it turned out, but all my points start out that way.

Very nice, Jim. And some pretty Pasco County coral.

Last time I talked to him his honey holes had dried up. But he had a pile at the house.

Yeah, since construction has come to a screeching halt, nobody's digging the ground up.

WOW, that makes my heart feel good to see you do my coral justice like that, lol. thats a killer point. I remember exactly where that coral came from and wished that site was still open, it was open only a few months for a pipeline and I found the finest raw orange coral there, it sold quick. Eddie is right I do sit on some still but I bust my butt for what I have, no more of the big 100lbers or even 50lber where you can drive big dinner plate spalls off of. I have been selling mainly to people who slab so as not to waste these 10 lb heads, again thats a fine point.
