Incredible gift/primitive weapon
« on: July 31, 2009, 08:18:33 am »
For the past 7 months we've been working closely with an SF AOB. Our compounds join and a close bond has developed due to living and executing missions together.

They are now departing and the commander just blew me away with a gift yesterday. It's an Eastern Indian gun stock club. They made it from Afghan rosewood and metal they beat down here. It's like the one in Last of the Mohicans. Thought you'd like to see.

You are very deserving of the gift.  I thank you for your service. I hope to get to talk to you and get to know you better. I only got to talk to you a little last  year at  Mark's during the big leaf fire.  Keep your head down.

Thanks guys. I took a few of them shooting on the archery range I had built here and they said it was their best day in Afghanistan. I taught them how to make bow strings as well, so they put their heads together and came up with a primitive gift. Man, I couldn't have asked for anything better.
