I just bought a bow from www. woodbows.com and the bow stringing instructions that they provide are confusing me. The link for the bow is here:

my question..and I have to really swallow my pride on this one...but I am confused as to which part of the bow is the front, and which is the back.
I assumed the back side (the side facing me when I am using the bow) is the flat side, which has the linen on it and the writing denoting the draw length and weight until I read the instructions. The bold part is where I get confused as it seems to suggest the linen part is the front...
Step 3
To string the bow, the flat/linen-backed side should
face up towards the sky. The rounded and all-wood
side should face down towards the ground. Place your
foot on the black bow string, directly underneath the bow
handle.
Step 4
Slowly pull up the bow handle with one hand and slide the
bowstring into the nock with the other.
I can't tell from the pictures which side is which.
http://www.woodbows.com/docs/woodbows_instructions_stringing.pdfany help would be appreciated. The site specifically says that they won't replace bows that break from being strung backwards, so I guess it happens and I don't want to be one of these people.
