Old Square Iron Nails?
« on: May 07, 2009, 11:34:09 am »
Start doing some demo on the house yesterday and run across some old square iron nails, I seem
to remember someone mentioning that they were good for knapping  ???
Anyone know if this is true or not, I will try em when I get a chance but right now its remodeling time >:(

If they're actually iron instead of steel they should work. I think that's what Ishi like to use.

I use a hammered out nail for notching Dana. I figure those old nails will do just fine and they are almost old enough to be called ABO? ;D
