Bamboo backed bubinga ?

Has anyone ever tried making a bamboo backed bubinga?

I made a tri- lam with bubinga for a center core and maple belly and bamboo back, it is the fastest, smoothest, nicest looking bow ive made (which isnt really saying much). I toyed with just bamboo backed bubinga but gave up because bubinga is very (im sure the experienced bowyers have a better word) brittle. It is a beautiful wood but every piece that i had that was 1/2 to 3/4" inch thick would shatter when i bent it very much at all. The bubinga for a center core lam worked out well though. I gave the bow to friend but ill try to round up some pics and send em to you.

I have a blank partially floor tillered, and I think it should work. I'd suggest using a deeper core limb  cross section, and don't let the bamboo be too thick on the first one.
