I've just been given some 8ft lengths of pretty good yew logs
What are your recommendations for seasoning ?
Split and season or season and split

With most bow woods you want to at least split a log in half to give the moisture a place to escape. Remember to seal the ends. I use shellac for this but others use wood glue , wax or other moisture proof products.
