Indian-Style Quiver.

Hi all, I've been asked to show how i make my quivers by three or four people on here so here goes.....If you have any Q's just ask...

 What i would do first is work out if i wanted to cover the fletching or not,then how many arrows i am going to carry. The one's i make will hold 12 target arrows and 6 to 9 broadheads give or take;





So this one is 25in long by 11in at the top and 9in at the bottom.



And this one is 29in long by 11in at the top and 9in at the bottom.


The straps are 2in or 2 1/2in wide and as long as you can make them.
As i am not a Cowboy or Indian i don't like the fringe look so i don't use it on these quivers but you can if you like too....



What i do with the strap is sew it into the quiver itself but that means you have to decide if you want it on the left or right side because of the hair on the strap...

I punch holes along the edge at the bottom 1 cm apart then 2 cm apart along the top and into the strap.



I put the stiffener inside the quiver, if i'm using cane i drill a hole into the side of it. Then sew it into place or place something on the and sew  that on like the fox tail;









I over lap the two ends of the strap to see how far around or low i want the quiver to be then put 4 to 6 holes in to it;

Thanks for sharing.  I have a coyote pelt that I've been wanting to make into a quiver.  Now I have some direction.  Thanks again.
