I have some left over porcelain from the camp-o-rama I could bring for the thunder chert contest. ;D
...and Eddie, I haven't seen a "Friendship Bow" in about 3 years. I wonder if I would recognise any of them. ::)

Hi,

I would like to come.  I need to go back to read all the posts but wonder what the cost for the class to build a self bow would be?

I have a boo/osage glued up now and have a boo/ipe in the works but sure would like to learn the tillering process...books are fine but watching and learning by doing are the way I learn the best.

I would bring my Casita (small fiberglass trailer) if I can still get into a class to learn to make a bow.  Will read the posts to see if you bring your own wood or if you can buy the wood there...tools?

Any response appreciated,

Thanks,

Rand

It is $20.00 for the self bow challenge, you can bring your own wood or there is plenty there to buy or trade for.The selfbow challenge is for selfbows but you could build one and bring your glue ups and we will help on the tiller, there are many there that build them kind of bows. The camper is fine we will find you room.Hope you can make it.

Thanks Ronnie,I forgot to answer that for him,we have a lot of tools but sometimes get short
when we really get a crowd. That is why we try and register everyone in the challenge will
have a place to work. Don't mind anyone working on bow even if they ant in the Challenge,
that is what we are all about, but the ones that enter need to get the benches and tools first.

And we definitely don't mind (in fact we would appreciate it! ;D)any of you guys that aren't planning to work on a bow but would like to help out with some new folks...we're always short-handed in that area. :)

So I'm clear on the dates, the Magazine said May 1-3, but I read on here about the week.  What are the actual dates, start to finish, that this is happening?  I want to be there for as much as possible.
