Congratulations to Jimmy Blackmon (Ranger B)of Clarksville, Tennessee
His "Autumn Blaze" is Self Bow of the Month for November
From Jimmy:This is a 64" NTN Osage recurve with Purple Heart tip overlays and Timber Rattler skins. I was fortunate to get the rattler while on temporary duty at Fort Rucker, AL. I split the skin down the middle so it's the same snake on both limbs. This is my first attempt at a recurve and frankly I don't know if I'll ever out do it. This bow shoots like a dream. It's 60# @ 27" After finishing the tiller Grant, Greg, Mark and I shot it off the hand and loved it. Grant put the first three arrows in the 10 ring and called it a fine shooting bow. The next morning I took it to the woods with no finish on it, no handle nor tip overlays and took a nice young buck that ran into a tree after being shot and broke both antlers off. The purple heart and purple leather handle grip seem to bring out a nice purple tint in the skins as well. I made the bow during the radiant colors of Tennessee Autumn thus the name Autumn Blaze.

These comments are well deserved:-"An outstanding osage weapon! I'm pretty doubtful that you ~ or anyone else for that matter ~ will ever outdo the Autumn Blaze!
Way to set the example " Papa Matt

-"Wow Jimmy, when you get started on something...lookout! You really did a fine job on this bow, I really like it! It shoots right where you aim and a very flat trajectory! I think all of us that shot it were hitting well right off the bat. The skins and tips turned out nice as well! This bow should serve you well on your tour of duty." -Greg B
-"real real nice looking bow you got there, very classy looking. already got it hard to work...before you even had it finished. great job" - twistedlimbs
