New hic bow for friend.
« on: September 15, 2008, 04:01:04 pm »
Had promised my deer parts supplier (JR) this bow a year ago - finally :). Hick, 67" n/n, 45#'s @ 28" - he has some shoulder issues. Was going for 50 lbs but I think it's actually closer to 47, anyway my scale is hard to read ten feet away ;D. Not impressed with the tiller, it's a little off and a touch whippy but shoots OK - he didn't notice ::). Those tips - I couldn't tell ya what they are, something I dug up in Laredo but it contrasts well with white woods.

Looks good to me. Really like the tips and the dye job. I wouldn't be too critical.

Why you ol humble cowboy you!   ;D    That's a fine, pretty piece. Nice to see people remembering their suppliers too. Gotta take care of them. I did the same thing a while back, gave away a black cherry flatbow to the guy that supplies me those feathers. Makes a person feel good to give from the heart out of appreciation.  O:)
