Great bow.
It looks like an illustration for the classic hunting bow in the Bent Stick by Paul Comstock.
Do you have a front photo showing the width profile?

I guess it seems crazy now that white woods were once not considered bow woods.

That's a really good lookin' bow...get hickory good and dry and it will definitely make a fine bow. :)

Thanks for all the supportive comments. I did put some defelex in the bow when I had it a the floor tilller stage. Here are a few more pictures when the bow was in process. The picture on the tiller stick is on the long string at 10 inches. I don't have any other pictures of the bow but I want to take some after my firend has shot it for awhile.

The heck with the bow   >:D Love that living room.   ;) Good combo with stove next to fireplace.  You'd need it here in Montana this a.m. Heavy snow and 40's across entire state on June 11, '08
