If you are a paying registered member, I haven't decided how much yet. Something along 20 to 40 bucks per year. I want it a low amount to not discourage anyone from it. The bow program and the magazine library are going to treated as a product and accessed via a yearly membership. The forum and everything else will be free as it has always been.

so does the $20 to enter the give-a way count towards the yearly membership?

Pardon the delayed response, I had to consider this for a while.

Considering the logistics of it, I would say no. The yearly memberships are based on a rolling year from the day you sign up. The annual give away is a calendar year, and tracking those two over the potential of 5k members we have, would be a bit more stressful than I would like. The issue of someone's membership expiring in for example October, but they want to be in the running for the December deadline to enter would create a confusion I am not capable of handling. So for simplicity and accuracy sake, I will keep them separate.

Getting a nice bunch of stuff for sure, Pat I have a picture of the replica you made, thought I would post it here, not sure where I got it but it's pretty cool. It is of Jay Massey with his version.  ;) :)

That's the bow, Pappy. Glenn Doane sent me the article and the dimensions of the bow to get me started on it. Thanks for posting this pic.  :OK

You bet, love that picture and the replica of it you built. Finely got home an although I have a lot of catching up to do I wanted to through some in on the give away, This is one of my file knives with a stand, as most know I don't do leather work but it is a very usable working knife, made from an old USA made nut cutter file, handle is deer antler from a shed off the farm and also the antler on the stand. All the parts to the stand have been glued and pinned so they won't fall apart. Hope someone will use and enjoy it. I also plan on a bow just need a little time to pick one out that I think would fit most peoples need, hope to get to that this week. Few pic. of the knife and stand. :)

Here is another donation; I am out of the archery game and will never use these.

This is a dozen Sherwood shafts, 35-40, 5/16, full length with the nock tapers cut. They have a cap stain of mahogany leather dye, crested and finished with Tru-oil, ready to fletch and cut to length.

Oooh, those are some fancy nice shafts!

I though I would throw in a couple more things just to make it interesting , first a raw hide backed Hickory blank, the hickory was cut off the farm 6/7 years ago and the raw hide was some I made from a young doe [very thin], I was going to make a bow and decided to raw hide back it for no reason other than I hadn't done one in a while, when I got it to brace I seen it wasn't going to hit the weight I wanted for my hunting bows so put it away, it is a clean piece of pig nut Hickory wood in the RD style 64 n-n and ready to tiller. It would be great for someone wanting to make a lighter weight bow, should easily make 40lb. 2nd is a Yew bow I made in 2023 it is 48@26 and 58 n-n RD style. Very smooth and good shooter, I killed a couple of deer with it the year I built it so I know it is hunt worthy. It would be great with some with a draw length of 26 or less, I know a lot think they draw 28 but truthfully most don't. It has been shot a lot and pulled to 27 several times just for safety reasons. The Yew came from Keenan at the Classic 10 or maybe more years ago, really nice piece with just a little yew character , cow horn overlays with hemp wrap grip.  :)
