Possible bow raffle to support this site
« on: May 10, 2025, 06:03:26 pm »
I am trying to judge the general interest in participating in a bow raffle for a bow to support this site. I build a new bow for the flight shoot at the salt flats every year and am considering using them to help finance PA. They are typically 50#@26 right handed short recurves and plenty quick. The idea is $20 for a ticket and I'd need get 200 tickets.

If you are interested let me know and if you have ideas/suggestions regarding this feel free to post.

I’d like a ticket.

I like the idea of a raffle. I think more people could participate than an auction.

Sleek - I need another Bow like I need a hole in My Head. What would You consider a fair cash donation? Thank You - Bob.

I'm with Bob and Pappy. Already have too many bows, at least that's what my wife says.  ;D I am open to other options though.

I'd buy a ticket...I'm a leftie, so if I won I'd probably donate it to RMEF or a similar cause for them to raffle off.  See how much money we can raise off of one bow.   ;D

My thoughts to. Often when someone donates something to a charity auction. The winning bidder donates it right back and they auction it off again.

I’m up for whatever it takes to keep PA up and running. I could always give the bow to a worthy cause or give it to a friend to generate a new person into the world of bow making.

Even though you owe me a bow I'd happily chip in and pass on putting my tickets in the drawing hat. This community means the world to me and like everyone else I am happy to put my money where my mouth is.

Well, I owe you an apology for how sinfully ugly that bow was anyway! It could take a tree down though, you cant deny that!

Man, im so sorry, i completely forgot to reach out to you! When  left home I still didnt have my arrows fetched, bows weren't ready, I was so far behind i was almost always the last shooter of the round, and spending all my spare time prepping and repairing my gear. Im very sorry I forgot to reach out. But I plan to be there again next year. Soon as I get the dates Ill let you know. You certainly should come out. Ill be the fat guy who looks behind schedule with a panicked look in his eyes.

Does that ugly stick still exist?
