Thunderstorms
« on: July 25, 2022, 08:26:21 am »
I think they're out to get us.  About a month ago we had a thunderstorm go through that was intense.  One lightning bolt struck so close to the house that there was no delay between the lightning and the thunder and wow was it loud.  The neighbors next door came over concerned we got hit.  Then a couple weeks ago we had another storm and once again lightning struck so close i could hear the crackle of the lightning before the thunder struck.  Again last night another storm and again I heard the snap of the lightning before the thunder.  I mean I like thunderstorms and lightning is cool but not when they are that close

I like them when I can watch from way off but not when the hit close and rumble the house, guess when the are far off somebody else is getting the rumble though.  :)

I remember one night my wife and I were laying in bed when a thunderstorm was going through.

It was dark and all at once the air in our bedroom started to make a crackling noise and blue light was dancing around. We both ducked as low in the bed as we could. Then a very loud crack of thunder. It hit the neighbors transformer across the road .

That was the closest I want to come and it definitely put new meaning to electricity in the air to me.
