Fine stuff.  The dye really changes the look of the BL doesn't it.  I really like how you angle your tips for the overlay.  I have been trying to get a way from plunking it down on the top of the back.   I'm putting finishing touches on a silk backed BL board straight bow.  Trying to also get a little creative with finishes.

Just now stumbled across this one for some reason - another fine lookin bow. I do like that pattern you splotch on the back. If I ever get time to work on another bow, will give that a try for camo..

Ya Dave. The color on the locust is three river alcohol base walnut. It was a pretty dark piece of locust to start with though. Good luck with your bl bow, post pictures when its done.
Cowboy, Thanks buddy. Give it a try, you will be amassed how easy it is and it does make a pretty effective camo especially on bright colored woods.

dcm4@comcast.net should work Ryan.  It is different from way, way back, but they did the midsouth to comcast switch over like over a year ago.

I been in the ditch bad bud.  Went in the hospital that Sat ya'll was at Pappy's, and stayed most of last week.  But I'm on the mend now, improving every day.  Loved the pics btw.  The young un is a trooper son.  Looked like ya'll had a big time.  Sorry I missed ya'.  Next year for sure.  Did you ever bust out billets from that stick of 'sage.  I got some of that tree I'm working on now, hankerin' to get out to the shop this afternoon.  It's real perty weather here.  Will be my second day in the shop since probably 4 weeks, yesterday being the first.  LOL

Very nice Ryan, I came home from Pappy's with a nice BL stave from Hillbilly. I can't wait to get started on it. That is a really nice dye job.
