first Molly
« on: April 06, 2020, 09:48:21 am »
hello guys,
it`s a while since I postet a bow, but I`m still in this addiction. 2 Month ago I finished my first Molly, out of Osage. Have had some trouble with prop. twist, more than 90°. Got them out with steaming and dry heat but need more sessions for it.
some specs:
TtT 69",   NtN 67",  width at fade out ~1,5" ( 37mm), Lever are ~13" and brace hight is only 5".
glued a pice of cherry on the handle.
String ist 6 Strands, FF (BCY452)
45# @ 28 "  (enough for me old guy, lol)
enjoy,  and stay safe in this sad times, best whishes to all of you from the other side of the pond

Hans

Nice!  That is one of the best looking mollies I have seen.  I usually think they are pretty chunky, but this one has super smooth transitions and has very natural, smooth flowing lines.

I can just feel that thing springing back into reflex after unbracing. Cool bow.

an excellent job on that one...congrats... 6 strands of 452?  wow... I thought 6 strands of 450+ was a skinny string, and 452 is 1/2 size 450+... that's a "skinny" string for sure.
Seems like common sense isn't very common any more...

Now that's an excellent work. Very pleasing lines in the profiles. If you ever have the chance to shot some arrows through a chrony, let me know the specs!
And take it with you at your next visit.
