Postman, I love a good straight man so here goes. >:D
OK here are a few pics of nutters I have made.  What I do is add a taper to the arrow like for a field point, screw on a nut and add super glue to the threads and shaft tip. The glue is optional but strengthens the tip so I do it. ;)    Pat

Nice!
A little penetration and a lotta whollop.......Can't wait to make some for bushytails this  october. Sooner if my bird feeder keeps getting assaulted >:D

I've had good success with a mixture of vaseline/cayenne on the feeder pole, though!

Bird seed robbers are what I use them on mostly. I might have to try the vasoline/cayenne mixture.
The good thing about nutters is you do get some penetration along with the whollop. These things are devastation on skirlz!  ;D     Pat

Ill bet a nutter will raise heck on a bird feeder if you miss the squirrel.  :o Justin

Keeps you sharp, Justin. ;)
HT, that is a single stripped full length feather wrapped around the shaft. Only uses one feather(or 1/2 feather if you strip your own), goes down quick and makes a very effective flu flu.  8)    Pat

Justin - shot a bushytail on the feeder with a pellet gun,  - slug hit his skull on on side, richocheted off and shattered /dumped the feeder. Wife was next to me, unfortunately. She mentions it often.
