What draw style would a Karankawa use?

I'm working on a painting featuring a Karankawa man bowfishing. Little is known about the Karankawas, but they inhabited the Texas gulf coast and were noted to be excellent archers with very long bows and 36" arrows.

In the painting, I'm not sure what would be a good draw style for the archer to use...currently its a "pinch grip" in the sketch. Does anyone have info on what draw style other coastal or southeastern tribes might have used?

From what I know about coastal tribes, a modified pinch was correct. 

For a modified pinch, you use the pinch, with the middle and ring finger on the string helping pull.  However, the grip you used in the picture would work for a draw to the chest.  Bowfishing bows were not as heavy draw as war or hunting bows from my experience with the Seminoles.  I fully reserve the right to be wrong about this specific tribe, but I have at least been bowfishing with Seminoles.
