turkey surely won. ;D got up to the top of this mountain, an hours walk. scouted around before dark found lots of hen poop and big gobblers tracks. we came around a corner a turkey ran across the loggin road.we laid down our stuff 100 or so yards away and went and scouted a little. while my dad was undoin his stuff i took a walk about a hundred yards away. well a turkey flew up through the trees. i walked a little more and a nother took off. good place for the mornin. we got up and it was chilly, so we walked to were i saw the turkeys, called nothin so we sat there and heard a gobble prob. over  amile away downa  hollow up on top of another big mtn. that pretty much was it. way to far to cover and they were quiet and not responding, we went after it a bit but it turned out to be to far. walkin out we called but saw or heard no other gobbles. it was quiet. though a good night be in our high country sleepin out. felt good to be out with arrows and a bow i had made even if i didint get a shot. the guy and girl we saw gave me a look when they saw me in my buckskin shirt carrying a stick bow with arrows in a fox hide quiver. ;D

good luck chasing them buzzards >:D

from what ive been hearing the first week and half of the season hasnt been all that good hear. sounds like they may be running a couple weeks behind schedule for breeding. which is good for me and mine, cause we dont get to go untill the 17th of may. so maybe the bowseason here will be better this year.

goodluck again on your buzzard chase.
