dowel rods for arrow rest

Question, could you drill a hole in a self bow handle and put in a little oak dowel as an arrow rest

Sure.  I wouldn't go too deep with your hole though.

I think something that has a bit of give to it,, is easier to tune,, or a bit more forgiving on the arrow flight,,
that being said ,,  you could put some leather or fabric where the arrow passes

to me the dowel and the rest in Gordons seems similar in principle an would be less harsh on the fletchings. also yeah its probably a good idea to give it some sort of padding for the arrow as well

I sand a golf tee flat on one side then glue it on wrap handle and good to go! The unpainted look good ,good luck jeffw

Wine corks work great. Soft, durable, quiet and easy to shape. I use the foam rubber type.

ok thanks, i may as well give it a try, and if it breaks the arrow, it wont be the only thing being broken  (--)
