"Walking Stick"
« on: April 23, 2018, 11:13:58 am »
I posted the side split from this bow a couple weeks ago. It was a rather nice kid bow I named " old-young ". This was a very challenging Osage staves got from Frank at Marshall last year. He sad it was at least 25 years old. He had it and a few others that no one wanted for all these years and he didn't feel like loading and unloading them again. I feed Frank pretty good and kinda watch out for him and he gave me a really good deal on all his picked over staves. This one he told me, might not be a bow in there but should make a nice walking stick. I gotta say I looked at this one along time before I could see anything in it. Then I found them. Really like this Osage and this old stuff really is something special.
    Here it is "Walking Stick"
     64" ttt
     57 @ 28"
Really surprised how much I like this one. I don't think I got it to 28" but hopefully you can get the jest of it.
Enough rambling

Wow, very nice work. I'm starting to believe you can find a bow in almost any piece of wood.

Thanks everyone. In case you might not have seen it on page two of old-n-young. Here's where the two bows came from.
