Thanks guys It worked out fine with the hickory I dont know about other wood this is the first bamboo backed bow I made , StickH yes and no on the tapper I started out at 3/16 and cut the front profile out and as I sanded down to 1/8 it took a nice natural taper I left the bottom half of the bamboo about 12/1000s thicker for positive tiller I just keeped checking with calipers & pre tapered the hickory core a lot of first for me but worked out well !

Thanks fellas nice compliments from some top knotch bowyers  in my book , I have been getting better luck beffing up the lowers mass wise for the the extra in. of draw ,been working out good on the last 2 bows !

if those numbers are accurate at 11 gpp, your bow is faster than most glass recurves. good job.

Those numbers are legit 509 grain arrow but Im drawing it to 29 in. hence the 11 gpp arrow to compensate, actually I was getting faster results but didnt post tell 3 arrows same speed but its a fresh bow with only 150 arrows and I also left it braced for I hour before testing there are guys here that have made much faster bows ! wood bows can be as fast as the average glass bow  a lot of Howard Hill bows are in the 160s !

There have been critics of backing hickory with bamboo, but one of the best I've made was exactly that and was really close in design to yours.
