New osage bow with hole
« on: December 21, 2017, 03:34:56 pm »
I finished this bow last summer. I wanted to shoot several hundred arrows before I posted it.
This is one of Clint's staves from the classic in 2016. He had it on the raffle table and I tried
win it but it didn't happen. I ended up trading the winner two staves for it. This bow took a
lot of time, and I was doubtful that it was going to survive. I bought it to the classic this year
to finish it up.
I have been shooting it for several months, and had no problems, as the last picture shows.

I knew you would end up with that stave Chuck.  I'm glad you did.  That's a very cool bow.  And that last picture proves it's a capable weapon.  You need to show that deer picture to the guy at the classic who told you it would never shoot.
I started out with nothin' and I still got most of it left

I remember Clint telling me at the 2016 classic he hoped you got that stave. You did a great job on it and I’d like to give it my vote for BOM if you choos to enter it. Great job

Great work turning that stave into an unbelievable bow. 2016 was the 1st Classic I have attended and remember that stave well. I knew of your reputation for working challenging staves and was really hoping you could pull a bow out of this one. I cannot image the skill and patience it would take. You are the master. Again fantastic job on that one.
