Does anyone who is attending Marshall do horsehair braiding?

I have some from my gelding that I lost last fall and I would really love to have a couple tassels or a small bracelet made. Nothing super big but this guy was my “one in a million” and I would really love a something to remember him by.

Getting close enough to smell now. With it being a slow to arrive spring up here we should find some mushrooms again.
Only when the last tree has died and the last river has been poisoned and the last fish has been caught will we realize we cannot eat money.

Yup didn't find any here yet but should be starting soon. Man with this late spring I've got a lot to get done farming before I can come. I did get the sugarbeets planted though and so far they look good. Hope I can get some time to make a few things for Marshall yet. See you all soon.

So, how many days until Marshall???

For a boy who became interested at last year's event, he sure has a stock pile waiting for this year and this is only about 1/2 of what he has accumulated form so many wonderful friends. That hot box is full too.

Good thing I'm bringing the trailer this year. Hoping for some advice and guidance on what to do with each one. What to start out with and what to hold for later when he's ready for it. I'd like to tag it all so we utilize them and not waste this precious resource.

hoping I did the pics right so you can see them

Hey what's going on.....only two weeks away and less for some of us.  Who's going and what's going to be on the trade blanket this year?  I'm looking forward to seeing Southern Michigan and all the Michiganders again.  Also looking forward to the good food, bow/arrow building and fellowship around the campfire.  I got a couple of bows in the works, a osage static recurve with some pretty sharp hooks I'm really liking.

What's up Mr. Dasher be glad to shake your hand again.
See all you guys soon.

.....only two weeks away and less for some of us.

I was wondering the same thing. Thought I had scared you all away. lol

Both my husband and I are looking forward to working on our first bows. Our son, Cahl, is pacing the floor in anticipation of the event again. Although, if you ask him, he's cool as a cucumber.  I am considering bringing a RER Retro Recurve to the trading blanket. I'm not quite sure if I'm ready to part with it yet though. I haven't shot it since I bought my longbow though. It might just need to go somewhere it will get more attention.  I have a shawl for the auction that I knit form some yarn that I hand dyed.

We have pretty much kept the trailer loaded after our return home from the Michigan Longbow Assn Spring Shoot. I have a few things I need to restock and shuffle around since the back is loaded down with some staves for Cahl.

What days are you all showing up? I'm looking forward to seeing you all again this year and getting to stay for the entire event.

Wife escaped from hosp today and must use a walker for awhile. But she insists that's no excuse for me not going.

See yall sometime Tue. Won't run out on ya this time, Bill.    ;)
