Osage bow finished.
« on: March 19, 2008, 07:23:26 am »
I built an Osage bow for a friend up North [yes I have some yankee buddies] ;D ;D
It is pretty straight for me but turned out pretty nice.Hope he likes it.The
bow is 68 tip to tip and about 66 n-n .I missed the weight ,he wanted 45@27
but it looked so good at 49@27 1/2 that I left it alone. It will proble loose a couple
of lbs.after he shoot it a while anyway. He didn't want any tip overlays so it is just
a plane Osage selfbow.GregB helped me lay out the grip,I wanted something a little
different and [Greg is an engineer ,Ya know]  ;) and really get's  into grips and I hate that part.
Here are some pictures. :) Hope yall like it.

That one turned out nice and really draws and shoots smoothly also. I'm sure the north will be a better place as a result of this gift from the south!  ;)
